who we are

Matt Grotenstein has spent two decades in localization go-to-market on the platform side, the provider side, and increasingly in the space between them, which is where this practice lives.

At Acclaro, he led the transformation from traditional language service provider to integrator: building the TMS technology partnership program with the leading platforms, standing up the connectivity and solutions-architecture motion, and restructuring the commercial model away from per-word pricing. At Smartling, he sold enterprise localization technology into global brands. At Crowdin, e2f, and GTE Localize, he worked on US market entry and the platform's view of the provider channel.

He is the founder and host of LocReset, a podcast series built on candid conversations with the people actually making these decisions: localization leaders from Roku, Apple, WhatsApp, Notion, Lyft, and Warner Bros; plus platform and vendor executives; and legal specialists working through what the EU AI Act means for AI-touched content in regulated workflows. Across hundreds of on-record conversations, the same divide keeps surfacing: buyers have moved on to integration, governance, and proof, while much of the supply side is still selling capacity.

Matt is also co-author of The Global Impact Playbook, a framework for how organizations mature from reactive translation into structured global capability.

what we do

We help today’s LSPs become tomorrow’s Language Services Integrators. That transformation is focused on three core areas:

Connectivity

We design the integration surface that makes you hard to remove: a connector portfolio across TMS, CMS, PIM, DAM, repositories, and support platforms; API-first delivery; CI/CD-native localization for product and docs; and a solutions-architecture function that can lead a technical discovery instead of escalating it.

Result: recurring, volume-elastic revenue and switching costs that hold under procurement pressure.

AI Orchestration & HITL Governance

We design the orchestration layer. That means engine and model selection by content type, language pair, and risk tier. Glossary, TM, and brand guideline considerations, quality conditions, tiered human intervention, evaluation layers that substantiate quality claims, and the data governance and audit trail that enterprise security teams will approve. Your linguists stop being throughput and become quality engineers and risk owners.

Result: enterprise-grade AI delivery you can defend in a security review , and the margin that comes with it.

Outcomes vs. Per-word Throughput

We rebuild the commercial architecture around managed programs, market-launch packages, quality-tier pricing, and SLAs on time-to-market and quality thresholds. Then we rewire your reporting to the metrics your client's executives already track: revenue by market, conversion, time-to-market, ticket deflection, discoverability in target locales, cost per market maintained. We install the QBR cadence, the executive dashboard, the sales motion, and the business-case language your team needs to hold the conversation above procurement.

Result: renewals stop being rate negotiations.
